Adenovirus Amplification and Purification
Applications:
- Obtain virus in high-titer and in quantity large enough to perform your experiments in vitro or in vivo
You provide:
- A virus suspension
The service includes:
- Propagation of the virus in helper cells. We offer 3 scales:
- 10^12VP
- 10^13VP
- up to 10^15VP
- Purification of the virus on two-step and continuous CsCl gradients or anion-exchange column
- Virus dialysis or diafiltration
- Optional: virus concentration
- Determination of particle concentration via spectrophotometic analysis (Abs 260 nm in presence of SDS)

An Important Note on Handling Adenovirus:
Adenovirus is an infectious respiratory virus and its use as a genetic vector requires the use of adequate containment equipment and practices. Biosafety Level 2 (BL2) is appropriate for most customers; however, for some, use of BL3 or higher level containment facility may be required. PLEASE NOTE, O.D.260 Inc. will not carry out projects that require BL3 (or above) containment.
